Brett Pinkston

Brett PinkstonJuly of 2017. He is dedicated to helping clients with their personal injury, criminal and civil matters. Since joining our firm, Brett’s job has also grown to include being our Business Office Manager. Through his volunteer work for the firm, Brett is the Site Coordinator for the Asheville Region High School Mock Trial Competition, run by the Carolina Center for Civic Education and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. Before coming to Melrose Law, he was both a Career Coach and Program Manager for the Appalachian Music Program at Haywood Community College, a program that he helped create. Brett holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and a A.A. in Hotel and Restaurant Management from AB-Tech. Brett grew up in Western North Carolina, is involved with several volunteer and charity organizations, is an Eagle Scout, and loves traveling, hiking, and stand-up paddle boarding.

$3.025 Million settlement by Mark R. Melrose and co-counsel in a medical malpractice case for 40 year old man who suffered a devastating stroke after his surgeon failed to diagnose the cause of his bowel infarction. The doctor failed to read the echocardiogram which had clear evidence of a blood clot. This clot then broke apart and caused the stroke.
